Piecing the Puzzle Together

We started the session today with adding an extra puzzle piece to our collection of thoughts. Each day we added a piece after our Exhibition session- the piece had the main messages we thought the session was about. Sam's main message was "start local, think global". The Court Jesters talked about teamwork. We are getting a clearer image each day. Today we thought about what we have seen, heard and done.  We each came up with a question about what we wanted to know at this stage in the Exhibition. We found out that a lot of our questions were similar and when we sat down and discussed them we could answer a lot of it ourselves. EllaS, Reilly and Emily

  1. Today I thought we all looked at what we had done and how all of the things we have done over the week tied in together. from the Court Jesters to Sam Johnson and other activities we have done. I think the puzzle is going well and I think I have an idea of what exhibition is about this year.

  2. When we made the triangle and wrote down the questions on the board e.g what did I hear, and wrote down a big paragraph on each question, I was thinking as my idea for 'whats you question now' , and my question was ' What is the purpose of the speakers?' Then I thought about it, and it seemed that I already had an answer of that! I thought ' Maybe its because they want to inspire us about group work, and how to be in a group. I found out that a lot of other people thought of questions that could be kind of answered! I think that the exercise was to use a lot of thinking and knowledge.

  5. I really enjoyed today as we got to answer questions and we also got to ask questions... In our books we had to draw a triangle and then in each section of the triangle we had to answer questions (look at photo above)we also got to work in a group to answer questions we had askd earlier in the day! exhibition is going to be so fun!!!

  6. I'm still trying to think of whats my question now and those questions really got me thinking. I'm kind of getting something from my puzzle pieces. I hope todays puzzle piece kept on going on my track because if it is completely different from what I getting now I will have to think really hard about how they relate.

  7. Hello. I'm a classroom teacher from Hamilton, whose class of students has been collaborating with 8C. I think its fantastic that your sharing your Exhibition online and the early planning stages of it, it will allow you to get a national (and quite probably a global) perspective on what you are doing. I love how you've started putting your planning of the event up online - that will allow everyone, your parents, students etc to follow the event and follow it as it develops. Our class here in Hamilton will be watching as well as it develops, if there's anything that we could help with please let us know.

  8. Today was a great day to really reflect on what we have done. After making my triangle with the questions what have I seen, what have I heard, what have I done and the main one what would we ask now? I asked what the transdisciplinary skill was. I did end up and realizing it was how we organize our selves. With some of sharing the planet as well. With help from Mr.pears we realized what the concepts were too. The concepts were change and responsibility. We are all now trying to think how this ties in with exhibition and we are all very curious after all this stuff we learned from Sam and that court jesters. I think where all starting to get a clear idea of what exhibitions about after our reflections.
And we are all very excited to!
